Welcome to the Kelborn Stud website

The first part of the stud name was originated from my first name Kelly ‘Kel’ and the second part ‘Born’ is in memory of my younger Cousin; Gemma Born.

   Gemma sadly passed away at the young age of 10yrs after a 5yr, long hard battle with cancer. She herself was an equine enthusiast and made a super little jockey.

I myself have owned many different breeds of horses over the years; These ranging from Arab to Sports horse, Riding Pony to Thoroughbred. However, my weakness lies within the Welsh breed, in particular the Welsh Section C.

‘The aim of the stud is to breed true to type, ‘pony’ type welsh section C's. Rather than quantity we want to produce quality animals, fit for any audience or spot light, any camera or video.’

 ‘We want our prefix and ponies to be known for having good substance, eye catching/unique markings and most importantly straight and correct movement/limbs…’
